Mmm...Food stands as a testament to MF DOOM's unparalleled creativity and musical ingenuity. This album exemplifies DOOM's ability to seamlessly blend complex beats, skillful sampling, and mind-bending lyricism. It demands and rewards multiple listens, unveiling new layers of depth with each spin. On the surface, MM.. Food is a concept album about food. Every song on here is titled after some sort of edible substance and the word food is sampled more times than you can count. So the prospect of a skit-filled mid-section of a(n under) 50-minute LP may sound grim, but it's not so bad. It's also counterbalanced with some of the best songs MF DOOM has ever done -- "Potholderz,""Deep Fried Frenz,""One Beer,""Rapp Snitch Knishes," etc. There are also some great collaborations here.
