Just like the previous model, I actually really enjoy using the C740 — it has awesome performance, a good keyboard and trackpad, solid build quality and the battery life will get you through whatever work you have to do. Briefly, TN panels are characterized as being the fastest and cheapest among the other main types of display panels. Also, the good battery performance of this laptop makes it the best take for students and business owners. The updated Acer C720 Chromebook runs a little warmer than the original in certain areas, likely due to the faster, more powerful i3 processor. This is not an attractive laptop even by last year's standards, and is further from cutting edge design compared to the 2015 competition.Far removed from the ARM-based chipset of the Chromebook 11, the Acer C720 features an Intel Celeron 2955U dual-core CPU clocked at 1. For all of the praise I (and others) have heaped on the C720 for being such a great Chromebook choice, it was made despite its poor screen. What it lacks is Ethernet port, but it is possible to add a USB Ethernet adapter for wired networking. In some regards, it is: the case quality is lower tier (and slightly flimsy in certain spots), the screen is uninspiring but capable enough, and the keyboard is hardly even mentionable in the same breath, with clattery operation and a thoroughly budget feel. In conclusion, with its Intel Celeron processor, the Acer Chromebook C720 can carry out basic computing tasks.
