There’s political warfare between gangs from several countries plotting against each other from behind the scenes. Docking half a star as I was a little confused at times but definitely continuing on with this messed up series!

There are supposedly 11 volumes published in Japan, so we are over a third of the way through the story, and I am thoroughly enjoying the mix of violence, humor, conspiracy, and over the top commentary on human nature. The end of the volume introduces us to new characters, new fiends and they are even bigger abominations than Denji and Power. I'm just letting myself go with the flow for now, enjoying the stupidly funny bits -- "Let's murder him with our intellect.

As an aside at the end of volume 3 a lot of characters died…at least I think they did because I can’t see them coming back sadly :’() and having sworn to get revenge on those devils who killed his parents and his friends (Himeno being one) he takes up a new contract with a new devil - the future devil…with an offer he can’t refuse.

Repercussions from the previous battle are quite high and that means we need to have a little training arc. There were a couple of things set in the previous volume that were reveil here and there was one that was expected but i liked the execution of it so it was fine for me. She's really rocking the terrifying genius lady with supernatural powers in a fancy business suit vibes.
