I liked the tips on basic training and managing all those puppy tantrums and difficult behaviours, they didn't all work for me but we keep going and hoping one day (before my dog becomes an OAP) that he will get what I am trying to teach him.With clear, concise directions on how to train your dog, ‘Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy’ places great emphasis on positivity, and changing a puppy’s behaviour by giving them something more interesting to do than destroying the house, the family, everything in sight. Socialisation is introducing your dog to different experiences so that he or she can meet dogs, people and different situations calmly and confidently. If I can add a positive emotional anchor to my lessons, I think they’re more engrained and if the owners can get some joy from their learning, they’re more likely to come back again. Immediately before reading this book I read Zak George's Dog Training Revolution, so I couldn't help but compare the two trainers' approaches throughout. We just got a new puppy and I really didn't know where to start at all and this book was very clear, well written, easy to understand and had a lot of humor thrown in there.
