One of our larger restaurants, our Beaconsfield Giggling Squid offers a spacious but welcoming interior inspired by the fresh, exotic Thai ingredients from land and sea that feature in our authentic, flavourful dishes. Thai tapas starters star signature dishes G olden Money Bags, Sweet Jicama Salad, Candy Pork with Pineapple and Grilled Squid with Garlic. With its showpiece glass frontage and stunning, botanical interior inspired by Thailand’s abundance of exotic ingredients from sea and land, our Chelmsford restaurant offers the ultimate dining experience.Giggling Squid Oxford is located in the heart of Oxford’s historic Jericho area, on bustling Walton Street, with its cocktail bars, global eateries and the Phoenix Picturehouse a few steps away. Plus exciting chapters inspired by the latest exciting addition to the restaurant menu - breakfasts and light meals and a special drinks section with spicy teas and zingy cocktails and mocktails . Those which contain gluten will be indicated with a G in the menu but it’s really important that you check our allergen guide to make sure your chosen dish doesn’t contain traces. Classic dishes with new twists include all their favourite fish, meat, curry, noodle and rice dishes. For something more intimate, a table under our romantic pergola creates a wonderful date night setting!

Yes, we love welcoming little Squidlets and have a special menu with games and colouring to entertain them. We’re 5 minutes’ walk from the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds so if you’re catching a show, why not book an early table and treat yourself to a Thai curry or noodles before you go on to enjoy the performance? Who’s it for: Anyone looking for impactful flavours and vibrant inspiration to liven up their recipe repertoire and fans looking to cook their Giggling Squid favourites at home. Our Welwyn restaurant is bright and airy, with floor to ceiling windows and seating created to enhance your dining experience – choose a cosy banquette or a table under our unique flower-decked pergola. We use LED lights in all our new restaurants and will be upgrading older sites where possible as part of our refurb programme.

Our chefs love wok’ing their magic to create new dishes and we like to change our menu at least once a year as well as offering seasonal, limited edition specials. Our intensive training programme for all restaurant staff covers sustainability and the initiatives we have in place. Following the end of the lockdown period, this discount is no longer running but we’ve been made aware that there are several scams currently claiming to offer Giggling Squid NHS discounts. It all started in a tiny Fisherman’s cottage (now our Brighton restaurant) where the first menu was dreamt up. I’ve tried several of the recipes and have come to the conclusion that I need to put my math hat on and reduce the supporting recipes.

Applying a service charge to the bill allows us to operate a transparent and fair system as it gets shared across the entire team including kitchen porters, runners, chefs and servers – rewarding everyone who has been involved in the guest’s experience. The inspiration for our botanical decor and flavour-rich dishes comes from Thailand’s extraordinary wealth of ingredients from the sea and land. Our Giggling Squid in Chichester is bright and spacious with plenty of our popular green banquettes – perfect for sharing a Thai feast with friends at the weekend or a cosy, midweek dinner with the other half.
