About this deal

I love the sound of this LP, but the quality of this pressing is incredibly bad - no quality control at all. I know this pressing does not beat an original or Mofi pressing, but i still think it's a really good reissue.

most valuable Vinyl Records by Michael Jackson The 50 most valuable Vinyl Records by Michael Jackson

the much-discussed story about Mofi shouldn't influence one's assessment of the sound quality of the record. All runouts are etched except the pressing plant and mastering identifiers "P" and "o" which are stamped. Release is housed in a cardboard slip case, and includes fold out poster (that largely replicates the original art except for the addition of the Original Master Recording® banner and some credit updates), lyric sheet, MoFi Archival Master sleeve, and white cardboard insert. I also have a 1982 US pressing and while this Japanese press doesn't blow it out of the water, it is noticeably better, even to my layman's ears.

After years of hunting and trying different presses, the US Mastersound was easily the best of them all. a) The media and personal pressure the global success of 'Thriller' caused to Michael -with all-known consequences that they provoked to Michael's later life-.

Last 4 pages of the 10-page booklet fold out into a double-sided poster of MJ (standing in purple tracksuit/reclining in white suit with tiger cub). In addition, Quincy complained that Michael used to spend too much time in preparing the choreographies for each track on his own. IMO an analog production like Freddie Mercury: Mr Bad Guy ( musicland studios) would be a better choice for Mofi. For what I heard MOFI reissue changed the whole concept and master it as if it were an audiophile recording. Despite the high number of sales, the two number ones collected on Billboard charts and his emerging stardom as a superstar, he believed to be worthy of a greater number of awards (especially the Grammy ones) because only scored one for the song Don't Stop 'Til Tou Get Enough, in 1980.

The bass is rich and deep, the drums kick you in the chest, and the clarity of the production really shines. All image and audio content is used by permission of the copyright holders or their agents, and/or according to fair dealing as per the UK Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988.
