The icing on the cake is when he randomly makes some poor boy Anzu's long-lost childhood friend who has been in love with her since elementary school but never said anything because reasons (you know, that old chestnut). They encounter Anzu's friend, Saki, and confirm everyone at school has false memories of her and Junta being friends. Hoshino's desperate struggle against the Magical Fairy Riri (who's actual a female, sorry for the gender assumption) continues as the childhood friend trope Hayami enters the story (personally, he's my favorite) Riri even becomes a human to mete out even more romantic chaos. Comprising four volumes, Romantic Killer is sure to become a favorite current release for fans of romantic comedies.That's what happens to Anzu, who one terrible day has her beloved cat Momohiki, all of her games and consoles, and her chocolate confiscated by a nasty little bugger named Riri, a magical fairy.

And shout out to page 40 because "We're a guy and a girl but that doesn't mean romance is the only emotion we're allowed to feel for each other. A lot less of Riri being miserable to Anzu goes a long way, although the icky mind control aspect with Junta still feels like a bridge too far for me. I love so many little things about this series - full color, different character speach bubbles/text and the story is funny enough to appeal to everyone. So when I saw that it was a Manga originally I was very excited and absolutley wanted to see if the show was based on the chaptera/volumes, which it is.

With Riri transformed into Riho, Anzu thanks him for making her life better, and asks him what he truly wants. This volume was a fun little romp of shojo tropes, which was delightful to read, knowing our heroine is doing her damndest to avoid them. When Saki was uncomfortable after seeing her middle school abuser at a Summer Festival, Makoto was able to read the signs and swoop Saki away by the hand.One day, a wizard claiming to be a "love cupid" named Riri appears before Anzu Hoshino, a high school girl who has no interest in romance outside of video game characters.
