He met Elisabeth Wold in a blues bar in Oslo, Norway, and adopted her surname after she became his second wife. We carry a broad range of CDs and vinyl (7”/12” singles and LPs) and specialise in indie, alternative, rock, punk, metal plus a few other genres. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased. Comprised of various labels we know and love at Rough Trade (Bella Union, ATO, Speedy Wunderground, Phantasy, Heavenly, Mute and more) PIAS [Recordings] filter through some of the most diverse artistry to our racks, which we greatly enjoy digging into.

When he was ill on a ferry from Norway to Copenhagen, later in his life, a friend began playfully using the name and, despite Wold not rising to it for a while, it stuck. It's the darnedest thing – we'd leave it over in the potato barn and we'd come back in and it would be moved. The album is almost entirely performed by Steve, apart from snare drum on "Yellow Dog" and crash cymbal on "Fallen Off a Rock", performed by H.That was how it was back then, and there were some places hereabouts you just didn't go if you were a hobo.

Recorded at Hive Mind Studios in Brooklyn, NY, with the help of producer/arrangers Mike Buckley and Vincent Chiarito (both members of Charles Bradley's Extraordinaires) and crack team of a-list musicians, his upcoming album blends heavy arrangements and introspective lyrics with sophistication, leaving the listener in a blissful wash of wonderment.He made his first UK television appearance on Jools Holland's annual Hootenanny BBC TV show on New Year's Eve 2006.
