The game is very easy to play, not as simple as you think as many objects feel quite similar and the very few rules to follow make it simple to understand and play.

Many objects feel the same, so you do have to concentrate and be absolutely sure of the object you have found before pulling it out. Kids, though, would probably have a great time playing this over and over, and I think it would also be great for brain development for young kids. The point is to find the items in your sock first i think :) You start off by splitting into teams and filling each sock with the objects.

The Sock Game is an interactive speedy sensory family game where the idea is to find objects hidden in a sock, yes, I said sock (the kind you put on your feet), just by touch alone – no looking or peeking is allowed.

I cut out a thin piece of wood on my bandsaw but you could use thin cardboard (cereal box), plastic, etc. The best part about this game is that you probably already have everything around the house you need (and even finding the items is fun for kids)!Includes: 1 Pair of Official Sock Game Socks, 2 Sets of 30 Game Items, 2 Scoring Counters, Spinner Score Board, Instructions. With only one hand allowed inside the sock, will you be able to find the item, or will you get lost? My 3 year old loved it because usually our games are too hard for him to keep up but the Sock game gave him a fair chance.

Each player then thrusts their hand into the sock, letting their fingers do the “seeing” to try and find the specified object – but be warned some objects do feel very similar so choose wisely. The only arguments my kids had were if there was a tie when they each pulled an item at the same time. Although it's only a 2 player game (besides playing teams) just watching and waiting to play the winner is fun! If you’re in teams you can take turns with the sock while the rest of your team shouts words of encouragement and mops your brow.

It's really hard these days to find something that will entertain the WHOLE family that isn't digital.
