About this deal

It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Wm Morrisons Supermarkets Limited prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement.

Firstly this is fantastic rum, it's lovely and syrupy and delicious as you'd expect from a demerera rum. One of these rums is distilled in the 250-year old Versailles still; the only single wooden pot still in the world. Despite it's strength it's slow aging means it characterised by an unbelievably smooth, mellow taste. The spirit is made from Demerara molasses and contains three different rums, all distilled at the Diamond Distillery in Guyana, South America, before being shipped to the UK.Strong too, you might expect the high alcohol to add harshness but instead it smooths all the flavours into one delicious hit. D. is a blend of rums from Barbados, Guyana, and Jamaica in the overproof dark style, and replaces Plantation’s Trinidad-sourced Original Dark Overproof Rum.

Pusser's is a Navy Rum created from a blend of pot-still and column-still rums from Guyana and Trinidad with at least one wooden pot-still used. This distillery boasts 9 different types of stills of which seven are used with this rum, two of which are wooden (their Port Mourant double wooden pot-still and their Enmore wooden Coffey still). If you do require precise ingredient information you should consult the manufacturer, whose contact details will appear on the packaging or label. If you’re looking for a proper rum with flavour ignore the 1 star review, but beware, it’s strong stuff!Although the British Royal Navy stopped providing rum rations in 1970, you can still enjoy the same rum formulation thanks to Pusser's Rum. You should also note that the picture images show only our serving suggestions of how to prepare your food - all table accessories and additional items and/or ingredients pictured with the product you are purchasing are not included. A small plus is the packaging, that pop as you draw the cork adds to the taste buds anticipation of a tot or two. The British Royal Navy's 300-year tradition of issuing daily rum rations to sailors ended on July 31, 1970, known as Black Tot Day.

Ingredients: 50ml Wood's Navy Rum, 20ml ruby grapefruit juice, 20ml lime juice, 20ml honey, ginger beer. Distilled at the Hampden distillery in Jamaica, it’s a blend of two styles of pot-stilled rum, Plummer and Wedderburn, which fall at different points on the funkiness scale. It may not be reproduced in any way whatsoever without Ocado Limited's prior consent, nor without due acknowledgement. Its gold color implies more aging than you might expect – the oldest rum here is three years, and most is far younger. What do you do when you want to test the strength of your rum but are on a ship in the middle of the ocean?

Blended in Barbados with rums from Guyana and Trinidad, Pusser's is a bold rum that is true to the English style: funky and full-flavored. The spirits are then aged in Scotland in American refilled oak barrels for an average of 3 years, before being blended and made into Wood's Navy Rum.Alexandre Gabriel, Master Blender for Plantation Rum, brought together six rum luminaries--Jeff "Beachbum" Berry from Latitude 29, Martin Cate from Smuggler's Cove, Paul McFadyen from Trailer Happiness, Paul McGee from Lost Lake, Scotty Schuder from Dirty Dick, and Dave Wondrich, cocktail historian extraordinaire. Navy rum—traditionally, a rum blend featuring rums from Guyana, Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad—was once given to sailors by the Royal British Navy as daily rations or “tots”. Not sure how someone could give this 1 star, there must be a problem with their taste buds, I’ve been drinking Woods for years and apart from a very expensive aged rum I had in Barbados it’s the best rum I’ve ever tasted. The rums in the blend originate in five countries: Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados, Guyana, and “unspecified.
