Specific to this example, I have Burley’s Moose Rack on two of our bikes for the Burley Piccolo tag along.The Travoy offers a decent weight capacity of 60 pounds and comes equipped with two straps that secure to attachment points along the side of the trailer. The Travoy hitches to the seatpost of most bikes and rides at a 45-degree angle, redistributing the load’s weight for easier riding. If you mount it at the front of the rack to minimize the setup’s footprint, there are might only be a few millimeters of clearance. It’s really difficult to carry the trailer when it’s fully laden as it’s a large awkward shape weighing over 30 kg. I found the rubber caps over the wheel release buttons kept getting knocked off when wheeling through narrow doorways.

Although these boxes do have separate rain cover lids that can be purchased separately, I really feel these should be built-in.The Burley Travoy trailer doesn’t seem to impact riding style, aside from being a little more cautious with what size gaps you can cycle through. The Upper Market Bag, Lower Market Back, Transit Messenger Bag and Transit Backpack are designed to work seamlessly with the Travoy. On the topic of the kickstand, a really nice mod is to take the Travoy’s little rubber foot off (along with the retaining screw) and slide on a thicker, sturdier rubber cane tip in 5/8″ width.
