About this deal

Shrink wrap is quite tight to if you purchase you may choose to remove the wrap completely to prevent damage. While it was panned at the time and flopped commercially, it contains some of Madness’s most interesting and experimental work, featuring the singles ‘I Pronounce You’ and ‘What’s That’.

Compilation with unique sleeve from 1986 only released in South America - could it have been this sleeve that gave Virgin the idea for the Divine Madness sleeve? Includes the singles ‘Machinery’, ‘Are You Man Enough’ and ‘I Wouldn’t Beg For Water’ as well as her original recording of ‘Wind Beneath My Wings.Sleeve is in good presentable second hand condition vinyl has quite a few surface marks in places, the person who sold it to me said it plays fine. com (also known as Esprit) has been the world's biggest and best seller of premium quality and top condition rare and vintage vinyl records, rare CD's and music memorabilia since 1985 - that's 39 years! K. They were known for their "nutty sound," blending ska rhythms with catchy melodies and a showman's sense of humour. The rear sleeve appears to be a mixture of new type setting and scans of the pictures from the original rear sleeve, so appears a little disjointed/inconsistent on close inspection.

After a disparate couple of years which saw the band at their most polarised and fragmented, Madness reunited in an industrial unit in Cricklewood at the beginning of the year, where Suggs, Mark, Chrissy Boy, Mike, Lee and Woody realised that what united them was always bigger than what divided them. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. As their career progressed, they folded in touches of Motown, soul, and British pop to their formula. The Madness, originally released in May 1988, is the only album recorded by Suggs, Chas Smash, Chrissy Boy and Lee Thompson of Madness. Other artists that contributed tracks included The Jam, The Clash, The Specials, Ian Dury, Peter Gabriel and The Stranglers. Housed in a plain black sleeve with a 12" size picture insert, it is not a picture sleeve (they weren't produced with picture sleeves). What isn't quite right is One Step Beyond, which appears as the LP version with the longer "Hey you! Artwork for the inner sleeves and gatefold comprises memorabilia from 1980 and was designed by Retro-Madness!Can't Touch Us Now is the eleventh and most recent studio album from British ska-pop legends Madness. The very thin paper picture inner sleeve will have split at the edges (near impossible to find one that isn't) so like with most other copies of this LP that's we've seen the vinyl is held in a separate inner sleeve (as per the image). The album also features a host of other musicians including Steve Nieve (Elvis Costello and The Attractions) on keyboards and The Specials’ Jerry Dammers on piano. The result was an album bathed in all the new technology the late 1980s had to offer, and features some of this incarnation of Madness’ most experimental work. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse.

Sheena Easton rocketed to overnight fame in 1980 with the BBC broadcast of ‘The Big Time’ – arguably the first pop reality show – subsequently breaking records with her first two singles ‘Modern Girl’ and ‘9 To 5’ simultaneously hitting the UK Top Ten. In my case the discs were pretty much flat - a little off centre on a least one side of each disc (but only a little) and generally very quiet where it mattered. Excellent condition although small hole has been punched through sleeve - this is a familiar feature of this particular Canadian LP, it may have been done to show the record had been deleted or exported. Very Important: Please note that the Divine double LP has a notch broken out of the edge of each vinyl LP (see photo) so the first track on each side cannot be played. Its not just the record companies in the UK that Madness sign to that make appalling typos, this has to win the prize for the biggest typo ever in that the title of the sleeve itself has been misspelt!

Still factory sealed but has a small scuff on bottom right corner (please ask to see photos) the opened one in this pictures is our own one. No one is quite sure of how this came about, can only assume (similar to Absolutely) that there were two final choices for the sleeve design, the matt sleeve with gold patterns was chosen but a few of the second choice got printed up too. The Madness’ was the only studio album released under the short-lived iteration of Madness known as ‘The Madness’, with Mike Barson, Woody and Mark Bedford all out of the line-up.
