This is a very masculine fragrance, which I know is part of the concept of this perfume, but I don't care for it. Total duration is longer than I initially expected, no less than 5-6 hours with only a moderate application (3-4 sprays total, neck and wrists). Everyone is so quick to slag off Abroxan but I think it's a very interesting base and can be put to great use in these modern scents. Most of the wear for this fragrance is heavy, masculine spice with an undercurrent of sharp, powdery vanilla. A compelling heart of Black Vanilla is sophisticatedly structured with dark, dimensional woods, providing the tension between a feminine melodiousness and masculine strength.

This has so many notes I normally dislike: cardamom, lavender, leather, labdanum, ambroxan, vanilla, amberwood. Mixing memory and desire, masculine and feminine, the past and the present, these compelling fragrances echo the original Obsession, yet blur and reformulate scents for both men and women today.Kind of "I'm wearing mah man's T-shirt in the morning (after we spent night together) while drinking coffee and smiling silly". SUMMARY: A very sweet, resinous, and leathery fragrance with woody, spicy, soft floral, and fruity accords.

Top notes are Sichuan Pepper, Grapefruit, Cardamom, Lavender and Lemon; middle notes are Leather, Cedar, Labdanum, Pineapple and Geranium; base notes are Ambroxan, Black Vanilla Husk, Cinnamon, Patchouli and Amberwood. The leather that initially was a whiff starts developing, nothing bold, but projecting and aromatic; similarly, the cedar and labdanum join with fragrance with fresh woody and sweet, ambery accords respectively; the ambroxan also joins the blend with its ambery and powdery projecting note but not as strong as the vanilla; the cinnamon joins the vanilla with a sweet-spicy touch. Launched in 2017, Calvin Klein Obsessed is the reinvention of the iconic fragrance for men and women. This could go unisex, but it's made in a male version as well which smells very nice, albeit a bit "common smelling" like a lot of men's fragrances nowadays.Ive got the rollerball version and I have my share of aromatics, I'm not afraid of sharp, herbal or masculine scents. Wish everyone would stop comparing everything to it, the only fragrance that smells similar to sauvage is Prada carbon and that's just the opening. Although the bottle says "for Men" this is not a very macho fragrance and can be worn by ladies too!

Addictive and long lasting Obsession sets a sexy provocative mood with a unique blend of heady spicy woody and floral notes on a sweet seductive base of oriental vanilla and amber. The bottle is gorgeous, lovely to hold, the fragrance is so pleasant, there is the white lavender, the citrus without being harsh or too zest, it is comforting, easy, classy, young, charming - nothing to do with the name "OBSESSED". I would recommend this perfume if you're looking for a simple scent to go with a minimalist aesthetic. I recently started wearing it again, but found the fresh creamy lemon and woody smell quickly fades away and turns to a skin scent after around an hour or two for me. At the heart of OBSESSED FOR WOMEN is the memory of a past love, triggered by the scent of another on the skin. Fresh from the shower, gentle and pure, a bit shy but at the same time manly and determined to do his best for you. Here, the genders are subverted and layered, with the traditional scents of the masculine Fougère—particularly White lavender—harnessed for the women’s fragrance, while the men’s scent is in thrall to a dark Vanilla.

I chose this to wear on a school field trip with my daughter, where we would spend the day either enclosed in a school bus or out in hot sunny conditions.Lots of white lavender, very different from the usual lavender, which can be pugent, and unisex, and overly herbal. I actually think that the lavender and herbs in this take quite a feminine lean in this fragrance, being a bit more pretty while also being stoic and elegant. EDIT: Over time, this has come to strike me as imbalanced and really cheap smelling -- cloyingly sweet and just a mess.
