About this deal

This is a Prime example that Peter/Spider-man is a great character and not a loser or a joke he is portrayed to be in the current main Spider-man book.

There's a lot of cameos and Easter eggs, the characters are fun, and the more time I spend with it the more I can tell you this manga was a labor of love. I'm a dude trying to get in to Spiderman comics (in 10 yrs I'll be middle age, im probs too old for this but whatever. The bullies leave and Toby walks out, Yu attempts to apologize to Toby feeling guilty for not attempting to help him.Ordinary High-School Student: Yu has no superpowers and no business trying to emulate Spider-Man, but does so after being mistaken for the real thing because it's what Spidey would do. The premise is an average teen (who rock climbs, so maybe not THAT average) happens upon Spidey's suit and dons it, with the predictable results.

Fake Red gives readers that similar type of situation and wish fulfillment to Yu, who faces the pressure and expectations from his father and himself. Forceful Kiss: Screwball pulls this on Yu (while he's dressed as Spider-Man, of course) as an attention grabbing stunt for her livestream. You may block cookies via standard web-browser settings, but this site may not function correctly without cookies. Be Careful What You Wish For: Yu admires Spider-Man and tries to emulate him even a little by taking up bouldering.

Spider-Man: Fake Red is a manga based on Marvel's most iconic hero, the "one and only" Spider-Man, serialized between July 2019 and March 2020. This is a fun and interesting take on both what it means to be Spider-Man but also how inspiring a character he is.

Brainwashed and Crazy: What happened to Peter Parker: he was kidnapped by Mysterio and infected with the Venom Symbiote, which proceeds to take over him over the course of several days/weeks. I later found out this has been out in Japan for a while but was only recently adapted for release here, so it's probably safe to assume VIZ timed this release close to that of the movie so the manga could ride AtSV's coattails a little. Still, with the real Spider-Man nowhere to be found, the city needs someone to save it… (simonandschuster, n,d). Would a teen with no powers and a little experience in climbing gyms really be able to take over for Spider-Man, even temporarily? Yu Onomae is introduced as he leaves his home while his father tells him is going to be late if he doesn't hurry.Yusuke Osawa really gave this story his all, and as a stand-alone installment in what we now can regard as a Spider-Man multiverse, I've already got a huge soft spot for it. It also doesn't require much prior knowledge about the characters only some basic stuff so it's new-reader friendly. Naturally as a teenager he tries it on, goes outside and starts posing and taking pictures of himself only to hear someone screaming for help. Spider-Man's character is written well and you grow to care about Yu and his supporting characters as well. Osawa gives readers a story that stands out and plays on the strength of what Spider-Man is and can do.
